In April 2021, I joined AstraZeneca’s R&D Data Office, within the Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (AI) team in Gothenburg, Sweden, because I was impressed with its science-oriented focus and its leading position in the AI field. In my role as Data Strategy Director, I strive to make data-use easier and more productive for our scientists in Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism (CVRM), by supporting today’s data needs and executing change plans for future success. I am really enjoying being part of the Data Science & AI team because it has given me the opportunity to work alongside data scientists, IT and bioinformaticians.

I have been involved in experimental and clinical research and pharmaceutical development for more than 15 years, since being awarded a PhD in Human Physiology & Physiopathology from Angers University, France, in 2005. After spending time as a research fellow at the Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute in Melbourne, Australia, I joined Sanofi Pasteur, France, as Global Medical Writer for clinical in 2010 and then Boehringer Ingelheim, Germany, as Global Medical Writer for publications and Global Medical Affairs Senior Director, leading renal medical activities for DPP-4 and SGLT2 inhibitors clinical programs from 2011 till 2021.

Alongside my role at AstraZeneca, I am an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, and visiting scientist at the University Hospital of Würzburg, Germany, in recognition to my contribution to diabetes vascular complications research and training.

To be at the forefront of cutting-edge science, you need to embrace the knowledge and experience of each other, which helps shape the future of medicine.
